Human Fractal is a new collection by Lara Granqvist. Lara reflects particularly on the idea that our brains create patterns analogous to mathematical Fractals: complex, infinitely repeating geometric shapes that look similar at any scale. It has been observed that, when humans engage in complex thinking, these neural networks organize into such patterns, and that when thinking is disrupted, the patterns lose their integrity and break down.
In the context of current progress in artificial intelligence, genetic manipulation and questions of the future role of humans in the face of these developments, Lara is inspired by the visual nature of this coded insight into the abstract nature of human thought, emotion and existence. The work is fresh, unique, multilayered and irresistible. Find a selection of the fine art drawings on 1stDibs endorsed by JMart Management, Los Angeles.
